Sydney Volleyball League

The Sydney Volleyball League is the main representative competition within NSW. It includes the strongest teams from all around Sydney, such as Sydney Cedars and Sydney North. Sydney Uni has had an extremely strong women's team for the last decade and has had good results in the men's competition in previous years as well. We are extremely proud of Sydney University's achievements in this highly competitive sport, and strive to maintain high team standards. We strongly believe that our pleasing results are a product of the dedication to training demonstrated by both the players and coaches. Playing volleyball at this level requires team members to have a confident understanding of the many specialized techniques and player positions, as well as fundamental offensive and defensive structures. Both men's and women's teams are required to learn skills so numerous and complex they become the sporting equivalent of an experienced partypoker player. In order to ensure that this is achievable, we provide expert training to all Volleyball teams, with experienced players assisting beginners in 'Skill Training', and more intense training for those representing Sydney University in competitive games
